How Net savvy are you? How would you rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10?
I'm not very Net savvy. I'd give myself a three.

What do you enjoy doing online?
I mainly use the Net to update myself on what's happening in the modeling world. Since I love music I visit sites offering online music. I also like checking my mail.

What is your daily routine like? How much time do you spend online?
I don't have a daily routine. I'm on the move most of the time and then I have to go to a cyber café, which is a pain. I surf about once a month.

What is your idea of a perfect Web site?
It should be visually attractive. But it's not only about the pictures. The site should have enough information -- that's what you're looking for in the first place.

What are your favourite sites?
I like visiting SupermodelsForYou.com.

Have you ever been ego-surfing?
I did visit the 16 December film site. I like reading stuff about myself. It's nice to know that people take pains to put up correct information about you. But when they put up half-truths or inaccurate information, it upsets me a lot. They invariably spell my name wrong. It's not Dipannita, it is Dipanita.

Is there something you would like to buy or sell online?
Not really.

What is your favourite Web-based gadget?
I'd like to own a laptop. That's the reason I haven't bought a computer. A laptop is much more convenient especially since I travel a lot.

What do you like the most about the Internet? What do you hate about it?
I like the fact that the Net is like the world at your fingertips. All the happenings in the world are just a button away. I hate clicking buttons all the time. That's irritating.

Have you ever chatted with strangers? Did you tell them who you were?
I've never chatted with strangers. There's no point chatting away to glory with people you do not even know. I'd much rather chat with friends or keep in touch via mail.

Any strange experience online?
Not really, not yet. Thank God for that. The Net has been more of a learning experience for me.

Is there any one celebrity you would love to chat online with?
The one and only Amitabh Bachchan. I'm so dumbstruck when I meet him in person. Whenever I've met him, I've stuttered and stammered. Chatting with him on the Net would be less intimidating.

If you could change anything about the Internet, what would it be?
It's horrid when people superimpose faces of celebrities on nude bodies. It's sickening that models have to put up with this.

If the Net did not exist....
It would be a loss to the world. And I'd be broken.
