Jeev Milkha Singh's tied 25th finish in the Masters helped him climb three places to 80th even though Jyoti Randhawa continued to be India's highest ranked golfer at 74th. Placed 83rd in last week's Official World Golf Rankings, Jeev, who notched up his best finish in a Major at the Augusta Masters on Sunday, rose to 80 in the latest chart, which also has Randhawa at 74, one place up from his previous 75th position.

An erratic SSP Chawrasia brought home a second successive even-par 71 to lie tied 30th while Anirban Lahiri carded a disappointing two-over 73 to be placed tied 51st after the second round of the golf event at the Rio Olympics on Friday. Chawrasia dropped three bogeys, a double bogey against five birdies on the second day to aggregate 142, while Lahiri totalled 147 at the half-way stage after dropping five bogeys and three birdies on Friday. At the top, Australia's Marcus Fraser brought home a sedate two-under 69 to continue to be the leader at the half-way stage with a total of 10-under 132.
