I use the Internet for two purposes. First, email; and second, for wacky sites that fascinate me. I stay online for approximately half an hour daily, of which I use ten minutes to mail, and twenty minutes to fulfil my other passion.
In those twenty minutes, I randomly visit sites that attract me almost at once. Like Happy Kipper, which features streaming cartoons, comics and games. The unique feature here is its exquisite range of content.
Speaking of 'flash' sites, the first thing I do when I come across one is reach for the 'Skip Intro' icon. I hate it when some flash-heavy sites take years to download. That's why I like Skip Intro, specially designed for flash haters like me. The site tells you how utterly useless and boring it is to have flash introductions that take zillions of years to load, and the best part is its own skip intro section. Try it.
Scanwave is another favourite. It's like a virtual museum of exhibits and games, with several rooms for you to check out. The only way you can get out of any room is by shutting the browser window, sort of like that TV show, The Crystal Maze. My advice: should be played only when you have hours to waste.
My friends believe Dumb.com was started by me. Well, it isn't. What you get here is a comprehensive database of dumb Web pages including sites on dumb criminals, quotes, questions, sayings, jokes, photos, and more. The classic ones find their place in the site's Hall of Shame, while there's also a list of incredible links to things you can do when thoroughly bored.
If you're dumb enough to get to the Hall of Shame, getting yourself a brain may be a good idea. Brains4Zombies is a directory of assorted brains (celebrity and ordinary brains too) for sale. Zombies can order them, with prices depending on the use of the product. The site also features a list of 100 hot brains, gift services and quick picks to make shopping a more pleasurable experience.
If you are on a diet and cannot eat brains -- as they are high on calories - there's a quick way of shedding those extra kilos without exercising, popping pills, or dieting. Simply log on to Reducing Diet and read the comments from experts and satisfied surfers posted. Worth a try! No side effects!
While on the topic of side effects, do you know how to avoid or get over a hangover? Hung Over offers solutions. The site's Painometer section detects the intensity of your hangover, while its Flush Here section throws up cures at random.
Time to sign off. Tell me if you like the sites I picked. Or if you hate them. Either way, let me know.
