The Delhi High Court has sought the state government's response on a plea by a sexual assault survivor seeking enhanced interim compensation. The survivor contracted HIV as a result of the assault and argues that the current compensation scheme doesn't adequately address such cases. The court has asked the Delhi government, its Department of Women and Child Development, and the Delhi State Legal Service Authority to respond within two weeks.
