Hurun Report and GROHE India named Lodha Developers' M P Lodha and family as India's richest real estate entrepreneur with a wealth of Rs 31,960 crore, followed by DLF's vice chairman Rajiv Singh and Embassy group founder Jitendra Virwani in the second and third position respectively. Total wealth of top 100 Indians in the real estate sector stood at Rs 2,77,080 crore -- up 17 per cent against 2018. While Mumbai accounted for six of the top 10 and 37 of the 100 names, Delhi and Bengaluru had 19 residents each who featured on the list. Smita V Crishna of Godrej Properties featured as the richest woman.

Mohammed Ajmal Amir Iman alias Kasab, the lone terrorist caught alive during the November 26 terror attacks in Mumbai, was on Wednesday further remanded in police custody till January 6 by a court in Mumbai. Due to security concerns, Ajmal was not produced before a regular court, and Metropolitan Magistrate N N Shri Mangale and public prosecutor Eknath Dhumal went to the police lock-up, where the terrorist is being kept.

A Delhi court on Saturday awarded life imprisonment to three persons for attempting to murder members of a Sikh family, during the 1984 riots, and imposed a fine of Rs 6 lakh for being involved in the crime. Mangal Sen alias Billa, Brij Mohan Verma and Bhagat Singh were held guilty of attempt to murder, rioting and dacoity in Shastri Nagar in north Delhi by Additional Sessions Judge S S Rathi on August 22.
