Rachel Edwards, a resident of Dunmow in Essex, England, was driving her 16-year-old son Jack and two-year-old daughter Isabella when their car hit a pothole and then fell into the ditch. Edwards, who is six months pregnant, managed to get out of the car and swim to the surface. She dived back in and grabbed Isabella.
