The raids targeted eight locations in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram linked to FIITJEE, its promoter D K Goel, and others. The action is being taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED is investigating allegations of "diversion" of funds taken from the coaching centers towards personal gains and other entities.
