A day after an elderly couple died in an alleged inverter battery explosion in Amethi, an Army soldier has filed a formal complaint alleging that his parents were murdered using explosives, police said on Thursday.
The FIR based on a complaint by one of the victim's brother, Raghvendra Gautam, said a group of around 20 armed with sticks and rods stormed Swayamvar Marriage Hall around 10.30 pm and attacked those who were holding a wedding there.
The Meghalaya police team was at Sonam's house for around two hours, they said.
