BCCI president Anurag Thakur has said the Cricket Board has put on hold plans of hosting a 'mini IPL' in the USA, with T20 Internationals being seen as the preferred platform to reach out to the American market. The main hurdle, according to Thakur, was the time zone difference. "I think we must understand the time difference. IPL is seen in India from 7 o'clock to 11 or 11.30 at night. So you have to play somewhere in the east coast here (USA) so (that) the timing matches.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court seeking disbursal of an amount of approximately Rs 1.33 crores for the remaining two Tests between India and England to be held in Mumbai and Chennai. The apex court has decided to hear the plea at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday). The two Test matches of the ongoing five-match series are slated to be held at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai (December 8-12) and MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai (December 16-20).

Supreme Court has done its best to have the BCCI implement the Lodha panel's sweeping reforms, said the committee's Chairman Justice (Retd) R M Lodha after the apex court asked the Cricket Board to not disburse funds to its state until they abide by the recommendations. "If the Supreme Court has done something, it must be for the implementation of its judgment on July 18. The court has done what it thought was best for having its order implemented. Lodha panel's formation, on Sunday dared the Indian cricket board to make the Deloitte report public and accused it of "threatening" the state cricket associations not to implement the reforms recommended by the panel. Speaking to ANI, Verma said that the BCCI would stand exposed if the report is made public.
