Five persons were killed and three others injured after an explosion occurred in an industrial unit in Sakinaka area of the city on Friday, fire brigade officials said.
The flames were put out completely around 4 pm with the help of four fire engines and as many water tankers, the fire official said, adding that the rescue operation is over now.
The search and rescue operations are still underway.
