The wife of Afzal Guru, who was hanged and buried in Tihar jail last week, has said she had full right over his body and demanded that the mortal remains be handed over to her for 'proper burial' in his home state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Afzal Guru had written a letter to his wife Tabassum hours before he was executed on Saturday morning in the high-security Tihar jail. "He penned a letter to his wife before he was taken to the gallows," a top official of the jail said.
In a new twist, a top officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Postal Department on Monday said that a letter from Delhi addressed to the wife of Parliament attack case convict Afzal Guru, who was hanged on Saturday, was delivered this morning.
The ED case follows the police complaint for alleged criminal conspiracy and defrauding investors.
