Somalian pirates have released a fifth Indian dhow with 11 sailors on board while negotiations are on for freeing the remaining three vessels captured last month, a shipping association said in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Somali pirates have struck again, this time taking hostage 11 men hailing from Gujarat's Kutch district who were working on a Dubai-based cargo vessel. "According to information received late last night, some 11 men from Mandvi who were working on the Dubai-based vessel Al-Barari were taken hostage after Somalian pirates hijacked the ship from near the port of Mogadishu," Kutch Vahanvati Association president Kasam Ali Bholim told PTI.
A case has been registered against two shop owners after a portion of a four-storey residential building collapsed in Mumbai on Tuesday evening.According to the police, Yunus Kasam Memon and Irfan Yusuf Memon, who own a shop of mobile handset covers, had allegedly added a staircase without seeking permission. This led to collapse of the building 'Yusuf Manzil' at Lamington Road.Meanwhile, an 85-year-old woman, who was seriously injured in the collapse, died on Tuesday.
