Bollywood came in large numbers to bid adieu to one of their own.

Action director Veeru Devgan had contributed to the film industry for over four decades, and his son Ajay Devgn has continued the tradition as an actor.

The prayer service for Veeruji, who passed into the ages on May 27, was held at ISKCON, in Juhu, north west Mumbai.

Ajay Devgn escorts his mother Veena, along with his wife Kajol and their daughter Nysa.

Nysa broke down at the prayer service, and was comforted by her father.

Kunal had been a child artist in the touching 1998 film Zakhm, which earned Ajay his first National Award.
