So many Web series grabbed our attention this year.

Some were brilliant while in others, the performances made them a great watch.

In a two-part special, Joginder Tuteja looks at the top Web shows this year.

Scam 1992

Scam 1992 is definitely the most entertaining Web series we have seen this year.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, the show captured Harshad Mehta's life and death, and the securities scam that he was a part of.

Pratik Gandhi lived the role of Harshad Mehta, with able support from Shreya Dhanwanthary.

Special Ops

Arriving at the beginning of the year, this spy thriller was classy, stylish and super entertaining.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special Ops saw a wow performance by Kay Kay Menon.

There was action, thrills, drama and suspense in this ensemble affair, which deserves a second season.

Paatal Lok

One of the best things about the OTT medium is that lesser known, but brilliant, actors have become stars.

Jaideep Ahlawat impressed everyone with his stellar cop act in the series alongside Abhishek Banerji, as the dangerous Hathoda Tyagi.

There was a lot of violence, abuse and brutality in this dramatic show.

Mirzapur 2

After a blockbuster first season, all eyes were trained on the second season of Mirzapur, and it did not disappoint.

A stellar cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Duggal, Isha Talwar, Priyanshu Painyuli and Kulbhushan Kharbanda made sure the show was super engaging.

State of Siege 26/11

It has been 12 years since the attack of 26/11 and the incident has led to quite a few movies, shows and documentaries.

When ZEE5 decided to make an action thriller around this, one wondered how Arjan Bajwa would lead the show.

As it turned out, State of Siege 26/11 was an engaging thriller as well as an eye-opener.

Undekhi was a nail-biting edge, edge-of-the-seat thriller, with Harsh Chaaya and Surya rocking the show.

Based on a true event, this crime thriller sends chills down your spine.

Breathe: Into the Shadows

After a thrilling first season, Abhishek Bachchan made his debut in the second season, Breathe: Into the Shadows.

Amit Sadh reprised his role; Nithya Menen played Abhishek's wife.

A psychological thriller with a major twist driving the narrative, one awaits its third season.

Sushmita Sen made her comeback with Aarya, and brought in grace, elegance and weight to the proceedings.

Directed by Ram Madhvani (of Neerja fame), Aarya was a crime thriller.

It also saw the comeback of Chandrachur Singh in a small role, and good performances by Namit Das, Sikander Kher, Jayant Kriplani and Ankur Bhatia.

Though Bobby Deol's Class of '83 was much talked about for his digital debut, it was his Web series Aashram that turned out to be more popular.

Prakash Jha did well with this dramatic Web series based on real life characters and incidents.

Both seasons were unveiled back-to-back, and lapped up by the masses.

Set in the interiors of the country, Panchayat was a hardcore Indian story.

Jitendra Kumar led the show along with Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta.

A tale with drama and humour, Panchayat became an instant classic.
