Violating the ceasefire for the seventh time this month, Pakistani troops fired on a forward defence location along the border in Jammu sector late on Monday night, drawing retaliation from Indian troops. Pakistani troops targeted the Chak Phagwari Border Out Post (BoP) in Pargawal sub-sector, 20 kms from Jammu, with mortars and small arms fire around 2200 hours last night, Border Security Force officials said on Tuesday.

In the fourth ceasefire violation in two days, Pakistani troops fired at a forward outpost on Wednesday along the International Border in Jammu sector, killing a Border Security Force jawan and leaving a villager injured. Pakistani troops fired at Pindi, Mala Bela and Chak Phagwari border outpost around 2230 hours on Tuesday night, BSF officials said, adding BSF troops fired back resulting in exchanges which continued till 0030 hours.

Violating the ceasefire yet again, Pakistani troops fired at a forward Indian border outpost along the border in Jammu on Tuesday morning, killing a Border Security Force jawan. Pakistani troops fired at the Chak Sagwari border outpost in Paragwal sector, 20 kms from Jammu, at approximately 6.15 am, BSF officials said. BSF jawan Sultan Ali was killed in the firing. Indian troops guarding the border retaliated and the firing ended at around 6.30 am.
