Shri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik was on Monday granted bail by a court in Virajpet in connection with a case filed against him for making 'a provocative' speech during December 2003. Granting the bail, Principal Sessions Judge R Ashok directed Muthalik to furnish a bond for Rs one lakh and a surety of the sum. M B Nanaiah, the counsel for Muthalik, urged the court to grant bail to his client. The case was filed against Muthalik for allegedly making a provocative speech.

The 27 accused in the Mangalore pub attack case were granted bail by a local court on Saturday.The accused, who are members of the right-wing group Shri Ram Sena, include the outfit's state unit chief Prasad Attavar. The court also directed them to furnish a personal bond along with a surety. The accused have also been asked to cooperate with the ongoing investigation process.Shri Ram Sena founder Pramod Muthalik was also granted conditional bail by a local court.
