Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad, who has been banned from flying by several airlines after he assaulted an Air India staffer on March 23, reached Delhi on Wednesday via a chartered flight, according to sources.
A fine of Rs 5 lakh would be levied for delay up to one hour and the amount would be Rs 10 lakh in case the delay is between one to two hours, airline sources said.
After Air India and IndiGo, SpiceJet is the third carrier to cancel the ticket of the Lok Sabha member.
"There should be an inquiry to find out why our MP was forced to behave this way," Raut said.
Sources said Air India has written to the Delhi police on why there is delay in taking action against the MP.
Sawant said that the party never supported Gaikwad's actions but always demanded a proper investigation into the matter.

The ban on Gaikwad was revoked last Friday after a letter from the ministry of civil aviation "advised" it to do so.

Asserting that it was a small conflict, Gaikwad said the staff member of the airline is mad and around eight such cases of indulging in a brawl have been registered against him.
Gaikwad booked a seat on flight AI 806 from Mumbai to Delhi for Wednesday earlier on Tuesday through his staff which was promptly cancelled by the airline. This was followed by another attempt to book a seat on AI 551 from Hyderabad to Delhi, again for on Wednesday, which was cancelled, too.
"Unless he tenders an unconditional apology to AI employees, and undertakes in writing to abide by the Chicago and Tokyo Conventions & Rules of the Air and follow all cabin safety and public behaviour norms, we must not let him on board," says the letter.
Barred from flying, Gaikwad has to take a train to travel to Mumbai.
The party also sought to justify its protest in the Lok Sabha.
As a member of Parliament, I am aware of the number of complaints raised against Air India's crew, Gaikwad said.
The passenger Gurpreet Singh was handed over to the local police who are probing the incident.

The development came after Gaikwad apparently booked a seat from Hyderabad to Delhi on Flight AI 551 for Wednesday, which was cancelled by the national carrier.
