A man was arrested in Ponnani, Kerala, for allegedly murdering his wife in front of their eight-month-old child. The accused, Mohammad, allegedly strangled his wife, Fathima, and dumped her body near the Ponnani harbour area after a dispute.
The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has declared a red alert in Palakkad district due to high levels of ultraviolet radiation.
