The death sentence handed out to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav for "spying" was on Tuesday described as "unprecedented" by the Pakistani media, with experts weighing in the diplomatic fallout of the move.
Pakistan's military courts have gained a disrepute for not being transparent and violating all provisions of a fair trial.
Cutting across party lines, all MPs slammed Pakistan for awarding death sentence to Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Osama Ali, a 24-year old resident of Rawalkot in PoK, has been diagnosed with a tumour in his liver and wants to seek treatment in Delhi. "PoK is an integral part of India. Pakistan has illegally occupied it. We are giving him visa. No letter required," Swaraj tweeted.
"Pakistan's story is solely based on rhetoric and not facts," said Harish Salve, who was representing India.
The announcement by Sartaj Aziz came amid criticism by experts and opposition leaders over the government's handling of the case at the International Court of Justice.
Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that hectic diplomatic efforts were made to inform the world leaders about Pakistan's position on the NSG entry.
"We have sought from the foreign ministry (of Pakistan) a certified copy of the chargesheet as well as the judgment in the death sentence of Jadhav, but there is no response yet from Pakistan's side," MEA spokesperson Gopal Baglay told reporters.
The official said the listeners of all the languages are sending messages through e-mails and WhatsApp to AIR. "The gist of the messages are that the people are considering this act of Pakistan as unIslamic as punishing innocent is against the tenets of Islam. Travellers are given high regards in Islam," the official added.
The decision of the 11-judge bench was unanimous, ICJ President Ronny Abraham said.
The plea involves 'egregious violation of Vienna Convention on Consular Relations 1963 by Pakistan.'
So far, almost every positive development in terms of the bilateral ties has been overtaken by innate hostility that is often driven by popular sentiments.
'Their deteriorating economic and international situation is also responsible for being more reasonable.'
While Pakistan termed its decision to allow Jadhav's family to travel to Pakistan to meet him as humanitarian gesture, India has accused it of violating mutual understandings.
There is also no information on what has happened to the appeal by Jadhav's mother.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Anu Malhotra said the government was best placed to take a decision and safeguard the life and liberty of its citizens.
In his address at a conference on Indo-Pak relations, he said relations between the two countries have nosedived but the only way out to check it is to engage in talks.
India has issued demarche against Pak over Kulbhushan Jadhav's death sentence.
The govt is also criticised for its choice of Khawar Qureshi, who represented Pakistan's case before the ICJ.
'There are thousand ways to pressure Pakistan to make it behave.' 'Going to the ICJ was the worst possible option,' says Colonel Anil A Athale.
"India has no knowledge of Kulbhushan Jadhav's location and his condition. We are making all efforts to get him back but we can't reveal the steps that will be taken to achieve it," the MEA said.
Both India and Pakistan have already submitted their detailed pleas and responses in the world court.
'The Modi government knows that much cannot be expected of Pakistan till the Kulbhushan Jadhav issue is resolved,' says Rajeev Sharma.
