Police in Faridkot, Punjab, have arrested an associate of the Bambiha gang and recovered illegal weapons. In a separate operation, a drug smuggler was apprehended with two kg of heroin.
Gangster Sukhdul Singh alias Sukha Duneke, one of Punjab's most wanted criminals, was killed in the Canadian city of Winnipeg by unidentified people, sources said on Thursday.
Three pistols and 22 live cartridges were recovered from them, the police said.
The National Investigative Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids at 51 locations in six states in connection with the crackdown on a terror-gangster network operating in India and Canada, officials said.
Sources said traces of human blood were found there. It is suspected that they had killed somebody in the house and later disposed off the body by cutting it into pieces.
The Delhi police had earlier said it arrested two 'suspicious' men and recovered two hand grenades from their house in the Bhalswa Dairy area of Jahangirpuri.
