The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday carried out searches at three locations in Noida and Delhi in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities in the procurement and supply of Tatra all-terrain vehicles to the Army. Three teams of the agency officials reached residences of two retired army officials and an official of Vectra early on Wednesday morning and took into their possession some crucial documents related to the deal, CBI sources said.

Vegetable vendors and wholesalers have blamed rains for disruption in tomato supply, leading to the price of the kitchen staple skyrocketing in retail markets of the national capital. Local vendors are selling tomatoes in the price range of Rs 80 to Rs 120 per kg, depending on the quality and the localities. Anil Malhotra, a member of the Azadpur Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC), said tomato prices shoot up every monsoon but it was never this high.

Sources said the personal loans book may grow in the range of 30 to 40 per cent Y-o-Y on its current base. On a quarter-on-quarter (Q-o-Q) basis, the number of personal loans the Noida-based fintech company disbursed has dropped 20 per cent from 0.3 million in the first quarter of this financial year (Q1FY24) to 0.24 million in Q2FY24, according to regulatory filings.
