With the recent issues of ill-treatment of Indian workers in US and Middle East, Indian govt is also faced with the crisis of unorganised labour in India. There are 400 million workers in the unorganised sector in India that are living in subhuman conditions, are being exploited and do not get any financial benefits either. And, they fall beyond India's stringent labour laws. Unorganised Sector Worker's Social Security Bill is riddled with loopholes and yet remains undecided.

Tanti, who acquired Germany's REpower Systems last year, today announced plans to buy Chinese wind energy company Honiton Energy Holdings. The acquisition will be concluded through Colossus Holdings, a Singapore-based holding company of the Tanti group, and Bahrain-based private equity company Arcapita Bank for over $500 million (Rs 2,162 crore), sources said.

Asian soccer chief Mohamed Bin Hammam narrowly fought off a vicious challenge to his seat on the FIFA executive board on Friday after one of the most vitriolic political battles the region's soccer world has known.
