A Delhi court on Friday asked the director of the Central Bureau of Investigation to explain how the confessional statement of Swami Aseemanand, an accused in the Ajmer dargah blast case, was leaked to the media. The court asked the probe agency to file its response on February 15. The court's order came during the hearing of an application filed by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh functionary Devendra Gupta, seeking registration of an FIR against CBI and 'Tehelka' magazine.

A Spanish woman, who fell unconscious after being offered a drink by a man, suspects that she was raped in Pushkar town of Ajmer district, following which an FIR has been registered. The 32-year-old woman has alleged that Bhanwar Lal, 52, offered her a drink during a session of reiki. After consuming the drink, she fell unconscious and does not remember what happened after that. The woman is staying in Pushkar since April 15, said the police.

The team investigating the Mumbai serial blasts, which claimed 19 lives on July 13, has pinned a lot of hope on the sketch of a suspect. But rarely is a suspect arrested on the basis of a sketch. The police were quick to draw up sketches of suspects after the serial blasts in Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Jaipur and Ajmer in 2008. While in some cases the suspect was never found, in other instances the police always managed to pick up the wrong person.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has added the name of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist Sunil Joshi to the list of accused in the Mecca Masjid blast case. Joshi, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was shot dead by three unknown assailants on December 29, 2007, months after the blasts in Hyderabad and Ajmer.The CBI moved a petition in the 14th additional chief metropolitan magistrate's court in Hyderabad on Tuesday, seeking the addition of Joshi's name.
