As per the meteorological department, Colaba recorded 63.2 mm and Santacruz got 83.3 mm of rainfall since Wednesday. Incidents of water-logging were reported from several parts of city and suburbs like Vile Parle, Andheri Subway, Hindmata and others, civic officials said. Trains on both Western and Central lines were running late by 10 minutes, railway officials said. Flight operations were normal, airport officials said.

Nooriya Haveliwala, who was arrested for mowing down two persons in January allegedly under the influence of alcohol, has tested positive for drug consumption, the police said on Wednesday. "We received Nooriya's drug report from the forensic lab today and she has tested positive for consumption of narcotic substances like morphine and cannabis," said Additional Commissioner of Police R K Padmanabhan. Nooriya, 27, was driving towards her home at Colaba in south Mumbai.
