After their low-key registered marriage in the morning of October 16 in Bandra, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's wedding reception held in the evening at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Colaba, South Mumbai, was a star-studded affair.

Many of the couple's friends from the industry and relatives turned up to attend the do.

One of Saif and Kareena's close friends and costars, Shah Rukh Khan arrived with wife Gauri to wish the newlyweds.

Filmmaker Karan Johar who's given hit films with the new couple -- Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham with Kareena and Kal Ho Na Ho with Saif -- arrived with mum Hiroo Johar.

Kareena's father Randhir Kapoor waved to the photographers upon arrival.

He was spotted with Shweta Bachchan Nanda, who is related to the Kapoors by marriage (her mother-in-law Ritu Nanda is Randhir's sister).

Saif's younger sister Soha Ali Khan was dressed to the nines.

Shammi Kapoor's son Aditya Raj Kapoor accompanied his mother Neela Devi.

One of Kareena's closest friends, Amrita Arora Ladak, who's expecting her second child with industrialist husband Shakeel Ladak, was dressed in an eye-popping shade of yellow.

Saif Ali Khan's costar in films like Kal Ho Na Ho and Salaam Namaste, Preity Zinta wore a red lehenga.

The actress is all set to make her comeback with her home production Ishqk In Paris.

Actress Sonam Kapoor, a distant relative of the Kapoors, looked fetching in her pink outfit and sparkling jewellery.

Sonam's parents Anil and Suneeta Kapoor were also present.

Kareena's uncle Rishi Kapoor and his wife Neetu greeted bystanders as they made their way to the do.

Son Ranbir Kapoor was also in attendance.
