India's first World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev has been chosen for the Global Diversity Award for Sports 2011 for his outstanding achievements in cricket and his recent induction into the ICC Hall of Fame 2010.
Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar today rubbished comparisons between Kapil Dev and Hardik Pandya, saying the legendary all-rounder is a once-in-a century cricketer and cannot be compared to anyone.
"People in India are showing their angst, their concerns, their worries about the future of India. Everybody wants development, what has Modi done? He has done his own development rather than development of the country," he added.
