A 16-year-old student allegedly died by suicide in Hyderabad even as his family accused the college management and some members of the teaching faculty of harassing him and held them responsible for his death, the police said on Wednesday.
Darshan Solanki, who hailed from Ahmedabad in Gujarat and was a first-year student of B Tech (Chemical) course at the IITB, allegedly died by suicide by jumping off the seventh floor of a hostel building located on the campus on February 12.
Late on Thursday, chief proctor Rajnish Kumar Mishra issued a notification saying the document on rules and discipline of JNU students is withdrawn, citing administrative reasons.
