The BCCI will not stop veteran leg-spinner Pravin Tambe from playing for Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League as it has been confirmed that he has officially retired, albeit second time having withdrawn on the first occasion. The 48-year-old Tambe is set to become first Indian player to play in the CPL. As per BCCI rules, he is now eligible having announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore did not entirely rule out the possibility of the popular IPL franchise "evaluating" investment opportunities in England and Wales Cricket Board's ambitious franchise league 'The Hundred', which had to be shelved this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. British newspaper The Telegraph on Tuesday quoted Mysore saying that they would surely be keen to "explore" investment opportunities in The Hundred.

Veteran Mumbai leg spinner Pravin Tambe put his name for the Caribbean Premier League players' draft but BCCI is unlikely to give him permission unless the 48-year-old announces retirement from Indian domestic cricket. The BCCI had disqualified Tambe from this year's IPL, which has now been postponed indefinitely, after he was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL Players' Auction in December as he flouted the rules by appearing in an unsanctioned T10 league in Abu Dhabi last year.
