Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that decision on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) should have been taken during 1971 war between India and the neighbouring country.
The defence minister, however, said the matter is under the domain of the Union home ministry and it will take appropriate decisions.
Rajnath came down heavily on the National Conference-Congress alliance over its poll promise of restoring Article 370 and said it is impossible as long as the BJP is there.

Notwithstanding India's objections to China-assisted developmental projects in PoK, Pakistan asserted it will go ahead with its plans there, including the multi-billion dollar Sino-Pak economic corridor.
"There are reports to indicate that women are being trained in Pakistan and PoK for terrorist activities," Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Maken said in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
He also said that Pakistan would not do anything as what Prime Minister Modi was doing "would create a backlash that would bring his downfall."
