The Uttar Pradesh police has told the Supreme Court that it was "prima facie satisfied" about alleged involvement of Dr Rajesh Talwar in the sensational double murder of his teenaged daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj before arresting him. In an affidavit filed before the apex court, the UP police submitted that it had conducted a fair investigation and observed all necessary rules under the Criminal Procedure Code before arresting Dr Talwar.

Krishna, an accused in the Noida double murder case, was on Saturday remanded by a Ghaziabad court to Central Bureau of Investigation's custody for three days, to facilitate his interrogation. The accused, who was working as compounder with Dr Rajesh Talwar and was arrested by the Noida police for the murder of his daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, was placed under arrest by the CBI on Friday after a series of scientific tests.

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Mondy moved an application before a designated court in Noida to seek the remand of dentist Rajesh Talwar, arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police in conenction with the murder of his daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj. The CBI will seek his transit remand for Ghaziabad court before questioning him in connection with the case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday denied newsreports that claimed that Dr Rajesh Talwar and his wife Nupur were not at home the night their daughter Aarushi and servant Hemraj were killed.Some newspapers and TV channels had claimed that Dr Rajesh Talwar and his wife Nupur had booked 12 rooms in a hotel outside Delhi to prove that they were not in their Noida home the night Aarushi and Hemraj were murdered. The case has reached a dead-end.
