Khurshid row: HC seeks documents from TV channel

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court on Thursday issued notice to a television news channel -- directing it to produce all documents related to the matter of the Dr Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust run by Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid -- on the basis of which a Public Interest Litigation was filed.

Supporting his senior colleague, Minister of State in Prime Minister's Offic V Narayanasamy on Wednesday said no action can be taken against Law Minister Salman Khurshid on the basis of allegations of misuse of funds by an NGO headed by him. Noting that the Uttar Pradesh government is conducting an inquiry into allegations against the Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust run by Khurshid and his wife, Narayanasamy said action will be taken on the basis of its report.
