Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson believes Pep Guardiola will need time to adapt to Premier League football when he takes charge of Manchester City in July but has tipped the Spaniard to be a success. Guardiola has won numerous trophies in Spain and Germany with Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively but Ferguson feels the English game, known for its fast-paced and physically demanding nature, will pose a completely different challenge. "Without question Pep has got a fantastic work ethic about him. He has got great coaching ability, there is no doubt about that. Man City have made a real coup in getting him," the 13-time league champion told British media.

Rediff.com29 Mar 2016

Arsene Wenger has "no doubt" he will still be the manager of Arsenal next season despite pressure from the club's supporters to end his 20-year stay with the north London side. A run of just two wins from their last nine games in all competitions has seen the Gunners knocked out of the Champions League last-16 for a sixth successive season and exit the FA Cup in the quarter-final, losing to Watford at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal's dismal form has severely dented their hopes of ending their 12-year wait for the Premier League title, as they trail leaders Leicester City by 11 points with a game in hand.

Rediff.com21 Mar 2016

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes his side has a "big chance" of securing a top four finish to qualify for the Champions League next season after defeating neighbours Manchester City on Sunday. United, who claimed a 1-0 win at the Etihad, are sixth in the Premier League, a point behind their fourth-placed city rivals with eight games remaining. "The gap would have been too big if we had drawn or lost. It would have been very difficult," Van Gaal told British media "Now it is in our own hands but we have to win our games. We have more home matches than away and we don't lose so much at Old Trafford... so we have a big chance." United welcome 12th-placed Everton after the international break, followed by a trip to second-placed Tottenham Hotspur. They also host current leaders Leicester City on May 1.

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is learning a lot from his team mate Sergio Aguero as he bids to improve his killer instinct in front of goal. Argentine striker Aguero has scored 94 Premier League goals since his debut in 2011 while Sterling has bagged 11 this season, equalling his best return in a single campaign. "I have been working on my finishing -- it's something I want to do. Obviously, we have players in the team like Sergio who you can look at and improve your game, and it's no different for me," Sterling told the Manchester Evening News. "He is a world-class striker and someone I can look up to, so it's always nice to have someone like him you can watch and see how they finish." Sterling, who joined City from Liverpool for 49 million pounds ($69.8 million) last year, was guarded about his goals for the rest of the campaign. "It isn't near my target. But it's a personal target, not to put in the press," the 21-year-old said.
