As the impasse over the crisis after the virtual revolt by the four judges against Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra last Friday continued, sources said Justice Chelameswar had a brief meeting with another dissenting judge Justice Ranjan Gogoi at his residence.
The apex court issued notices to the Centre, the Delhi government and the police on pleas seeking removal of protesters from Shaheen Bagh.
The bench said that it will hear the matter because of the apex court's judgment in the Sabarimala temple case.
With the elevation of these four new judges, the strength has risen from 24 to 28.

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi on Monday said it was in "our best interest" to heed the advice of the Constitution as not doing so would result in a "sharp descent into chaos".
"We will work out the parameters then we will see as to how mentioning will be done," he said.
