White-collar hiring witnessed an 8.6 per cent annual decline in September, following a negative trend in sectors including IT, BPO or ITES and FMCG, a report said on Monday. On a month-on-month basis, however, there has been a growth of almost 6 per cent in job postings. In September, there were 2,835 white-collar job postings, down by 8.6 per cent compared to the same month last year when 3,103 jobs were posted, according to Naukri.com's monthly 'Naukri JobSpeak Index'.

India's largest private carrier Jet Airways will report a full-year loss for 2007-08 fiscal and break even only in the financial year ending next March, said its chairman Naresh Goyal. Earlier in January, Jet Airways had reported a net loss of Rs 91.12 crore (Rs 911 million) for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as against net profit of Rs 40.04 crore (Rs 400 million) for the year-ago period. Goyal expects Jet Airways to break even in the current fiscal, ending Mar 31, 09.

Online food delivery platform Zomato has started rolling out delivery bags with "hotline phone number" to report rash driving by its delivery partners, company founder Deepinder Goyal said on Wednesday. In August at the company's annual general meeting, he had said that Zomato would put a phone number on the bags of its delivery partners for people to call and report if any one of them were found to be speeding.
