A mother was forced to choose between saving the life of one of her two children when the car she was driving met with an accident and fell into a ditch. Rachel Edwards, a resident of Dunmow in Essex, England, was driving her 16-year-old son Jack and two-year-old daughter Isabella when their car hit a pothole and then fell into the ditch. Edwards, who is six months pregnant, managed to get out of the car and swim to the surface. She dived back in and grabbed Isabella.

There are some 15 bodies kept on stretchers on both sides of the corridor that leads to the second floor where the testing laboratory is located," KEM staffers' union leader Santosh Dhuri said. "Workers need protection kits and assurance of financial support in case of falling sick. These issues are not satisfactorily addressed by the BMC and the state government despite several reminders and agitations," he said.
