The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is probing an alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus, has summoned actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh for questioning, an official said on Wednesday.
The special court on September 11 rejected bail pleas of Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and others in the case, noting that there was no "reasonable ground" at present for not connecting the accused with the crime.

CBI officials in Delhi said the agency will take up the probe. The agency is likely to re-register the FIR filed by Bihar police under Indian Penal Code sections related to abetment to suicide, criminal conspiracy, cheating among other charges on a complaint from the family of the deceased actor against his rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members.
The senior Shiv Sena leader also claimed that the Supreme Court had not found any fault with the investigation conducted by the Mumbai police so far.
The police team arrived on July 28 to probe the 'abetment to suicide' case registered by the actor's father in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty and others.
Singh said he will take strong action to ensure that the FIR, which names Rajput's sister Priyanka Singh, Dr Tarun Kumar of RML Hospital, Delhi and others under various sections of the IPC, and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, does not deflect the trials in another direction.

The court has now tagged all the three pleas together for a joint hearing on October 8. The latest plea, filed by NGO 'In Pursuit of Justice', sought that the court widen the scope of the Contempt of the Court Act to include any obstructions that could hamper the administration of justice from the time a first information report is registered in a case.
