Two Border Security Force personnel were killed while four others injured when militants opened fired at their vehicle just outside the Awantipora IAF airfield in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Officials said a squad of BSF personnel was changing guard at the airfield in Pulwama, 33 kms from Srinagar, on Saturday afternoon when a group of militants opened fire at them from automatic weapons.

A Pakistani national was allegedly shot dead by Border Security Force officials while another managed to escape after an encounter at the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar. The encounter took place at Khemkaran village, nearly 45 km away from Amritsar, when a BSF night patrolling party observed some suspicious movements at the Indo-Pak border late on Wednesday.On being watched closely, it was found that two Pakistani nationals had entered into Indian territory.

Violating the ceasefire yet again, Pakistani troops fired at a forward Indian border outpost along the border in Jammu on Tuesday morning, killing a Border Security Force jawan. Pakistani troops fired at the Chak Sagwari border outpost in Paragwal sector, 20 kms from Jammu, at approximately 6.15 am, BSF officials said. BSF jawan Sultan Ali was killed in the firing. Indian troops guarding the border retaliated and the firing ended at around 6.30 am.
