Bangladeshi authorities ordered extra police and paramilitary forces to patrol major towns and cities ahead of an opposition strike on Saturday called to protest a series of bombings this week.
More than 100 near-simultaneous bombings occurred nationwide on Wednesday, killing 2 people and wounding 125 others, police and media reports said.

Police hunted for more suspects on Friday and interrogated more than 100 people - including several suspected members of a banned Islamic group -
No one claimed responsibility, but leaflets from the banned Islamic group Jumatul Mujahedin were found at all of the blast locations, officials said.
