Terming the advisory issued by the Union Government as unecessary, Karnataka Home Minister, Dr VS Acharya said that the issue was now being politicised.

Speaking to media-persons on Friday, Acharya said that the advisory was politically motivated. "Where was the need for such an advisory when the state government has acted upon the issue. The state has done evrything in its capacity and has also managed to bring the situation under control, " he said.

"We have instituted a judicial probe and also warned against any further attacks" the home minister also said.

When  asked what the government was contemplating next, the home minister said that they had not taken any decision on whether to reply to the advisory or not. "If the need arises, we will do it," he said
