A husband and wife who were detained in Bikaner in connection with the Samjhauta Express blasts are being interrogated in Jaipur and the man resembles one of the suspects whose sketch the investigators released, a senior police official said on Thursday.

Director-General of Police A S Gill said the duo were detained last night at Bikaner and were being interrogated.

Security agencies and the Haryana police will step in for a detailed investigation, he said.

Though he identified the woman as Soro, Gill refused to divulge the identity of the man.

The man is from Mumbai, he said.

The army and the Rajasthan police raided the Naya Sahar locality, from where they picked up the two.

Five persons were detained on Wednesday night for questioning in a coordinated raid by security forces in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Old Delhi in connection with last Sunday's blasts in Samjhauta Express.

The Haryana Police has sent its team to Rajasthan to ascertain the involvement of the couple.
