Parliamentary delegation leaves for Geneva

A Parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee left for Geneva on Saturday to attend the 115th Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The delegation includes Rajya Sabha deputy chairman K Rehman Khan and Parliamentarians Mohd Salim, V Kishore Chandra, Tapir Gao, Surendra Lath and Archana Nayak, a release said.

The three-day meeting, to be held from October 16, will discuss cooperation between Parliaments of different countries and the United Nations and role of legislatures in overseeing meeting the Millenium Development Goals, among other things.
