Nineteen people including 15 civilians and four paramilitary troopers were wounded in militant attacks across the Valley on Tuesday.

Eleven people including seven civilians and four Border Security Force soldiers were wounded when a patrol party of the BSF was attacked by militants with a powerful hand grenade in Tral town of Pulwama district, 40 km from Srinagar [Images].

A senior police officer said militants hurled a hand grenade at a patrol party of the BSF near the bus stand in Tral town on Tuesday afternoon.

"The grenade exploded at the busy bus stand injuring seven civilians and four BSF troopers," Deputy Inspector General of Police (South Kashmir) Sheikh Owais Ahmad told this correspondent.

The injured were removed to the local hospital where three of the critically wounded were referred by doctors for treatment to Srinagar.

Earlier on Tuesday, a landmine explosion in Siva village of Lolab in north Kashmir Kupwara district completely destroyed a vehicle wounding eight occupants all of whom have been evacuated for medical treatment to the hospital.
