Jammu and Kashmir [Images] Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Monday said separatist Hurriyat Conference could also visit Pakistan occupied Kashmir if they fulfill the necessary requirements.

The Bharatiya Janata Party said the prime minister should not accept Sayeed's proposal, as it did not augur well for the country's security.

"We oppose this and we request the prime minister to reject it for the time being," said former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh.

Sayeed said priority should be given to divided families on both sides of the line of control to unite.
