Iraqi militants behead S Korean

The South Korean abducted by militants in Iraq was on Tuesday beheaded.

A foreign ministry spokesman in South Korea said that US soldiers had found the body of Kim Sun Il between Baghdad and Fallujah. The 33-year-old was employed with a South Korean firm providing support services to American troops.

The killing was aimed at deterring South Korea from sending additional troops to Iraq to assist US soldiers.

US President George W Bush has condemned the killing.
