Police in Jammu arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin and cash during a patrolling operation in Narwal.
Authorities in Jammu demolished three houses belonging to alleged drug peddlers as part of an ongoing campaign against drug trafficking in the region.

BJP official spokesperson Nikhil Anand alleged that the proof and evidence related to the case are being destroyed and tampered with. "An absurd article was written in Saamna by Shiv Sena in which Rajput's fans, his family, Bihar Police and Bihar Government were insulted. It is clear that Shiv Sena leaders are afraid of CBI investigation and they are nervous about it," he said.
"I say that he (Sushant) was not a Rajput. Please don't mind but a Rajput who belongs to Maharana Pratap's clan cannot hang himself by a rope," Yadav said on Wednesday while inaugurating a newly-built road in Saharsa, his assembly constituency.
Rajput, aged 34, was found hanging from the ceiling of his apartment in suburban Bandra in Mumbai on June 14 and since then the Mumbai Police has been probing the case keeping in mind various angles.
"Nyay ki jeet hui hain (truth has triumphed)," Kumar said soon after the apex court's verdict upholding a CBI probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide.
The Centre informed the court that it has accepted the Bihar government's recommendation for a CBI probe in the matter.
