The final conditioning camp for Asia Cup probables, originally scheduled for Bangalore, has been shifted to Chennai to help the players acclimatise to the conditions in Sri Lanka, the venue for the tournament from July 16-August 2.

The Chennai camp will be held from July 3 to 8. 

"The decision to shift the camp was taken so that the players can train in conditions similar to Sri Lanka," Board of Control for Cricket in India president Jagmohan Dalmiya said.

"It is to help the players acclimatise to the conditions. It is cool in Bangalore now whereas Chennai will be hot and humid as Colombo," he said.

Dalmiya said the team for the six-nation tournament would be picked during the Chennai camp. 

A pool of 26 players is already undergoing a fitness camp in Bangalore since June 13. The camp, being held under the supervision of physical trainer Gregory Allen King, will wind up on June 19.

The BCCI chief, who made a "courtesy" call on Sports Minister Sunil Dutt in New Delhi this morning, said he used the opportunity to discuss various issues with him.

"It was a general discussion. We discussed mainly about cricket," he said.
