At least 15 people were killed and 22 injured when a passenger bus fell into a deep gorge at Sherbibi near Banihal on the Jammu Srinagar national highway on Wednesday morning.A senior police officer informed that the bus was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle, at a sharp bend.A massive rescue and relief operation was launched immediately and the injured were shifted to the sub-district hospital in Banihal.

Thirty five passengers, including six women were killed and seven critically injured when a bus fell into the Chenab river in Kishtwar district on Thursday. The bus, which was on its way from Jammu to Kishtwar, skidded off the road and fell into the river at Kandni-Phagumarh area at around 12.30 pm, said Himant Lohia, the Deputy Inspector general of police, Doda-Ramban-Kishtwar range.
