According to the complaint filed by the victim's mother at Pernem police station, her daughter was raped while she was playing in the beach waters on Tuesday.The incident took place between 5.30 pm and 6 pm after two persons struck up a conversation with the girl's mother on the beach.
"My husband left for Moscow on January 25. Since, the morning of January 26, the accused saw me alone and were trying to get too friendly with me to which I was not comfortable with," the lady, who is a doctor by profession, told PTI.
