Notorious dacoit chieftain Jagan Gujjar and Ram Vilas Gujjar on Tuesday night threatened to blow up Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's palace in Dholpur if the demand of the agitating Gujjar community was not conceded within 72 hours.The dacoits have been reportedly present at Pilukapura, where the Gujjars are sitting at dharna since May 23, seeking Scheduled Tribe status for the community.Raje said that she would not deviate from her duty as Chief Minister.

The government has already decided to accord priority to fertiliser and power units for allocation of gas from the Krishna-Godavari basin. According to sources, the empowered group of ministers on gas, which met last week, has made it clear it will be able to provide additional gas to steel firms only after meeting the requirements of the power and fertiliser units. Among the steel majors, Essar, Ispat and Vikram Ispat have gas-based units.

The new greenfield airport at Navi Mumbai will come up at the proposed site and not be shifted elsewhere. Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has also written to the Civil Aviation Ministry for building the airport at the originally proposed site. There had been demands to shift the proposed Navi Mumbai airport to a new site due to environmental issues. The regulator would look into aspects like aeronautical charges, user development fee and passenger fee.
