The attack occurred on January 16th in Khan's apartment in Mumbai. Shehzad entered Khan's apartment through a bathroom window and demanded Rs. 1 crore from a nanny. When Khan arrived, he was stabbed in the back by Shehzad. Police are investigating the possibility of an international conspiracy behind the attack.
